Two wins last May, including over C&D (good); failed to kick on subsequently but she reappeared with a solid third of six over C&D (good to firm) a fortnight ago and could build on that performance this afternoon.
Comment
C&D winner; reappeared with solid third over C&D and could build on that performance today
Quotes
"This was always after Newbury and I would say most of the yard would have been on. We'll look for some nicer handicaps Silver Ghost after that - Emma Lavelle, trainer."

Placed on all six handicap starts, most recently second of six over C&D (good to firm) a fortnight ago when twice suffering interference from the winner in the closing stages; every chance he'll be bang there.

Runner-up in 2024 on first three 2yo starts (7f/1m, good to firm/good to soft) before easily making all in 7f AW novice; off since, with gelding/wind ops in the meantime; it's a hefty absence to defy but he has potential off his opening mark if retaining his ability; the betting will be interesting.

"He holds a pretty high level of form from last summer. He's had a good winter break and his mark would typically get him into the Britannia already. We're not going to rush him and I think he wants fast ground, so Ascot could suit him well. 07-04-25"

On a long losing run but he's twice gone close on AW this year (7f/1m) and fared best of the eight-strong centre group when fifth of 13 here (1m, good to firm) a fortnight ago; might not be far away.
Comment
On a long losing run but some good form this season and he might not be far away
Stable Tour
"He didn't get the trip on softer ground and a stiffer track at Cheltenham in the Triumph Hurdle trial, having won on his hurdling debut at Wetherby. We were intending to run him in the Wensleydale at Wetherby before Cheltenham but the meeting was abandoned. He's decent and loves good jumping ground. He'll have a break now and come back in the spring when we can hopefully find some good opportunities for him and rack up two or three wins. 30-11-23"
Quotes
"I Still Have Faith is a big baby. His biggest problem is he's full of speed and ability. We brought him to Wetherby today because I'd like to run him in the Wensleydale Hurdle here and if we take him to the track once and then bring him back a second time, he'll think he knows exactly what he's doing. He learned plenty the whole way round. Jack said he jumped the first two then he didn't know if he got a fright or he lost concentration but he started knocking them out of the ground. His best jumps were his last three. As much as you school them at home, they'll always learn more at the races - Ben Brookhouse, trainer."
2023-10-18 - Wetherby"The Doncaster Legends race was the one we wanted to win with I Still Have Faith so this is just a bonus. Fern gave him a great ride and he ran on again when he got some company - Ben Brookhouse, trainer"
2023-09-23 - Newmarket"I told Stefano to ride I Still Have Faith like that as he doesn't do much in front. He broke his whip a furlong out so did it well. He will go jumping and has already schooled over a fence - Ben Brookhouse, trainer."

0-16 since winning in June 2023 on his second start but short-headed at Thirsk (7f, good) last month on his stable and seasonal debut and posted another good second at Haydock (7f, good) last Saturday; he's on the shortlist.
Comment
0-16 since 2yo win but runner-up on both starts for this yard and he's on the shortlist

"He ran on well and showed a bit of guts to finish fourth in the Greenham, which I was pleased with. He looked like he could have cried enough and finished six or seventh, but he stuck his neck out. We've taken him out of the Guineas and we're going to find something a little bit smaller for him. 29-04-24"
Quotes
"Pat (Dobbs) was confident about the trip for Son, although the ground was an unknown. Royal Ascot is a standing joke when you have a horse run well leading up to it and we'll discuss it. Either way we've got a nice horse - Julie Wood, owner."

Won four in a row on AW this year before close fourth at Musselburgh (7f); merely midfield in a big field over this C&D 12 days later but he sat prominent in a race that favoured those ridden more patiently; not discounted.
Comment
In good form prior to C&D last time, when he had an excuse for his mid-division finish
Quotes
"Goldmoyne loves this place but getting him to the start is the problem as he gets very wound up. If you can get him to the start in the right frame of mind he has ability - Tim Doyle, trainer"
2024-08-17 - Curragh"Goldmoyne is a horse with a lot of ability but he is also very headstrong. I thought he had a chance if he did things right. He is very tough though and he found when they came to him - Tim Doyle, trainer."

Has in-and-out profile and was only sixth at Ascot (1m, good to firm) a fortnight ago, but he's effective on turf and has won three of his last eight starts, most recently at Lingfield (1m, AW) last month; not ruled out.
Comment
Only 6th at Ascot a fortnight ago but three wins from last eight starts and not ruled out
Stable Tour
"He got off the mark for the year with a narrow win in a good Lingfield handicap and I hope that will be the springboard for a productive season. I think being put up 3lb for winning by a nose was harsh, but he'll be in all the big handicaps and could even turn up in the Hunt Cup. 21-04-26"
Quotes
"I was tempted to run Angel Hunter in the sales race earlier on the card, but it looked like a big step. He's a lovely horse and has a few nice entries, including in the sales race at Doncaster, but he's a horse for next year."

"He's always shown a considerable amount of talent but sort of lost his way. He had a wind operation and we gelded him last year. I was thrilled with the way he came back, behaving very well at Southwell and winning in impressive fashion considering he carried a four-year-old's weight. He runs at Pontefract on Wednesday. He looks to have got a little bit quicker and I hope he'll continue to progress along the handicap route. He's a very good mover and, touch wood, very sound. I wouldn't want to run him on rattling fast ground, but equally he doesn't want to run on very soft ground either. We're still learning a little bit with him after only five runs but his behaviour last time was fantastic, which is the important thing with him. 30-04-25"

Absent since below-par run last August on final start for Denis Quinn (same ownership); however, this lightly raced 5yo returns after wind surgery and he won this last year (good to firm); no surprise if he has a big say.

Turf maiden winner who scored in fine style in a handicap at Newcastle (7f, AW) last October; on that evidence this 7lb higher mark isn't necessarily beyond him, but he needs to improve upon what he produced on his last two outings in November and December.
Comment
Won in fine style on AW last October but failed to back that up on next two starts
Stable Tour
"He was fourth the other day at York behind Mums Tipple. He was also second in one of those valuable Sunday races at Southwell this year. He got trouble in running at York and he's not quite put it all together yet, but he could progress when he does. He's rated in the high 70s and if he puts it together on the track he'll be a fair bit better than his mark. 11-06-25"
Quotes
"It was testing out there, you need to give your horse a chance to get there in the last two [furlongs] and they weren't going fast over the line. Arctic Dawn was the yardstick and I felt they needed to step up to beat him. He was a worthy favourite and he obliged - David Egan, jockey, speaking to Sky Sports Racing."

Took a step back in the right direction with his close sixth at Haydock on latest start and he's back in the visor in which his last five wins have come, including two last season (7f, good to firm); entitled to respect.
Comment
Step back in the right direction last time and the return of the visor could be a positive
Stable Tour
"He's a law unto himself. Last year he won at Newmarket and then ran well in the Golden Mile at Goodwood, but he can throw a bad run and doesn't win as often as he should. He likes to be ridden forward, but when he gets behind he has his own ideas. 19-04-24"
Quotes
"Darkness enjoyed the change of tactics and he's got plenty of ability, it's just getting it out of him. It was a decent enough run today, he just got tired close home - Hollie Doyle, jockey."
