Versatile ground-wise; won this last year and has since added a fourth chase win in a Grade 3 at Naas; ran second to Energumene in a Grade 2 in April before his no-show in a Grade 1 last time; has clear claims back at this level, even having to concede weight all round.

Stable Tour
"He's just back in training following a little break after his run at Gowran. We'll find something suitable when he's ready to start back. 17-11-25"
"He's a very interesting prospect for the Triumph Hurdle having won his two races for us very impressively, particularly last time at Fairyhouse. We didn't run him at the Dublin Racing Festival as it was only three weeks after his previous run and that would have been a big ask for a youngster. Having missed that race, he'll be going over next week a much fresher horse. I think he's very good. 08-03-23"
Quotes
"It's great to win. Blood Destiny wasn't giving lumps of weight away like he was the last day and he obviously likes it around here. He won a good novice race around here. He was on a going day and he did it well. He has disappointed a lot of times. He's had a couple of issues but on his day he's not a bad horse and today thankfully was a going day. We'll see what else is around for him. The conditions of the race suited him today - David Casey, trainer."
2026-02-22 - Naas"Blood Destiny enjoyed it and winning that will do him the world of good. He did what he was expected to do there. I don't know if they are going to keep going with him now and farm those races hopefully or leave him off. This lad is not old and I would say he will have other career options, not just farm these races. He was a good juvenile but he is just hard to win with. He likes nice ground, he is better on nicer ground than heavy winter ground but he is adaptable. The way he jumps you could drop him back to two miles, he was keen with me early on so you could bring him back in trip as well - Paul Townend, jockey."
2025-06-02 - Listowel"We tried new tactics and I thought that might be a help after Punchestown. Paul [Townend] was very taken with Blood Destiny there. He's brilliant to jump, that was always his feature, but we were making too much use of his jumping instead of just using it when we needed it. Coming back in trip might have been a help as well. I don't know whether we've made a mistake now leaving him at home for Cheltenham but at least he has one nice prize in the bag. I imagine he'll probably go for the WillowWarm Gold Cup at Fairyhouse. That was the plan, here and then on to that - Willie Mullins, trainer."
2024-03-02 - Navan"Blood Destiny was dynamite everywhere and always looking for the next fence really. He's a real chaser. They tried to push me and get him lit up, but I wasn't interfering with him and he was getting a length everywhere with his jumping - Paul Townend, rider"
2023-12-14 - Naas"Blood Destiny has obviously improved again from his win at Cork and just has a lovely way of going about it. He was idle enough and missed a couple of hurdles but he was doing nothing - Paul Townend, rider."
2023-01-14 - Fairyhouse"Paul (Townend, rider) had lots of confidence in Blood Destiny, and when he let him stride on he jumped those hurdles well. The experience he got in France helped. He does that nicely in the juvenile division and will make a chaser in time. Hopefully he will go forward. Whether it's too close for him to run at Christmas or not, we'll see. We might wait but will see how he comes out of this. I hope he comes home safe and sound and I'll be planning a Grade 1 route with him - Willie Mullins, trainer."

Five-time hurdle winner who is 1-9 over fences, though was runner-up in last summer's Galway Plate; all the sharper for his comeback run when beaten 4l in a 2m4f Grade 3 at Killarney three weeks ago and he's a player on these terms.

Quotes
"Jesse Evans was foot perfect the whole way round, indeed the mistake he made at Killarney is the only one he has ever made and it probably did him good. He is a good ground horse and my dream for him would be to come back next year for the Galway Plate - Noel Meade, trainer"
2024-09-09 - Galway"Jesse Evans is a nice horse and it was nice to see him quicken up the way he did. He likes goodish ground and we would have to think of a race like the Morgiana Hurdle for him now - Noel Meade, trainer."
2022-10-02 - Tipperary"Jesse Evans did not do a lot when he got there, he would prefer a good gallop. He may well turn up in the Naas November Handicap - Noel Meade, trainer."
2021-10-20 - Navan"He's now won his bumper and maiden hurdle so we'll give him a little time before he goes for something else. He jumps quick. I don't know how he will handle heavy ground but Sean said that was borderline quick enough for him. He'll go for a winners' race somewhere - Noel Meade, trainer"
2020-10-02 - Gowran Park"The horse travelled the whole way and picked up lovely; he is a smart horse and I was quite comfortable I would pass the leader and had plenty of horse under me - rider Mark O'Hare."

Excellent efforts in deep 3m handicap hurdles in recent weeks, with the new visor working well; still early days over fences and the form he showed in winning at Thurles suggests he could be as effective in this discipline.

Quotes
"I thought for a minute we were going to do it again [after Friday's last-race winner Laafi], but Eagle Fang has run a cracker. After running well here he'll probably go to France now for another handicap at the big meeting in Paris. He tried fences but got a bit of a fright the second time and didn't return as well, so I said we'd switch back and change things up. He'd been working well and it was a great run in the first-time visor, but we just bumped into a well-handicapped horse - Tom Bannon, representing trainer William Durkan."
2026-04-11 - Aintree"Eagle Fang has bumped into some smart horses. He would want it soft and I would like to see some rain but the Boodles has been the plan for some time - Gary Bannon, assistant trainer"

Hasn't been at his best since winning last year's Grade 2 Red Mills at Gowran but a couple of subsequent runs read well, especially in the context of today's easier assignment; unlikely to be far away; any rain welcomed.

Not been at his best for a while but this is easier than he's accustomed to
Stable Tour
"He had a setback after he beat Minella Cocooner in a beginners' chase at Gowran Park in the early part of last season and missed most of the campaign. We managed to get him back to run at Punchestown but it was a big ask for him there. He jumps well and looks like he has the makings of a nice staying chaser if we get a clean run with him. 13-11-23"
"He's not so highly tried as many of his stablemates, but he won comfortably at Punchestown last time. I feel he wants a trip which could mean the Ballymore for him as I wouldn't think he has enough experience for a race like the Albert Bartlett. 09-03-22"
Quotes
"It was a good performance and Classic Getaway has been improving all season. Danny [Mullins, jockey] was keen to stress that the three fences in the straight made a big difference as his jumping brought him into the race without any effort and he had that final kick. It's nice for Cheveley Park to have a Red Mills winner. He ran well at Thurles on very quick ground and the different going here helped him - Willie Mullins, trainer."
2025-02-15 - Gowran Park"Classic Getaway had some very good form last year. We were hoping he could do something like that. His jumping was so good and he is very agile for a horse of his size - Danny Mullins, rider"
2023-11-30 - Thurles"b\Classic Getaway didn't fulfil potential last year, but to see him put his head down today and gallop to the line was nice - Danny Mullins, jockey."
2022-11-26 - Gowran Park"Classic Getaway was workmanlike. The hood had the desired effect in settling him and maybe it worked too well. He was probably just lazy in front and he had a good blow afterwards. There should be plenty of improvement in him - Willie Mullins, trainer."
2022-01-31 - Punchestown"Classic Getaway is a beautiful horse with a great walk. He was a bit more expensive than a Rolls-Royce Phantom but I'm pretty sure Mrs Thompson will get more fun out of him than a Rolls Royce. This horse is a big baby for a five-year-old with a point-to-point run and that's why I was keen to teach him to stride out. He's not really a bumper horse and I'd imagine he'll go jumping. When the ground was so wet, we thought we'd get a run into him. Willie hasn't rushed him and let him settle in. I think he'll continue to improve mentally - Patrick Mullins, jockey."

"Lisleigh Lad wasn't right last year but was spot on for today. I don't think he'll go back pointing now and we'll stay inside the rails. He's a great jumper. I have two nice four-year-olds for point-to-points, but they're big and backward and won't be running until next year - Eleanor Broderick, trainer."

Has won a maiden hurdle and a novice chase; has looked a bit outclassed in Grade 3s in his last three races and a similar scenario seems likely in this company (well behind Jesse Evans last time).
