Progressive when dropped to 5f in the second half of 2025, winning a Windsor novice (good to firm) and adding handicap wins at Chester (good to firm) and Haydock (good); unable to justify odds-on favouritism at Yarmouth (5f, good to soft) 24 days ago on her return from seven months off but it was still a solid effort and she remains capable of better; another 3lb higher today but sure to be popular.
Comment
Progressive in 2025 and reappearance was encouraging; up in weights but better to come
Quotes
"Kinswoman is all speed. She ran well last week when just getting touched off and she's getting the hang of it now. She'll get better as she gets stronger and hopefully she'll be one for next year - Maureen Haggas, trainer's wife."
2025-10-17 - Haydock"I think we've found the key to Kinswoman. She's not just fast mentally, she is actually fast. She relaxed well, took a breath - which on a couple occasions she hasn't done - and it's the difference between going and seeing out that last furlong and stepping into the race well and not. She did what you'd hope she'd do but you were taking on trust that coming back to five [furlongs] was going to work - Tom Marquand, jockey, speaking to Sky Sports Racing."

Picked off late in the 3yo Dash 12 months ago; gelded prior to his seasonal return and he has run well on both starts in 2026, following his close third at Musselburgh with an impressive win at Goodwood five weeks ago (5f, good); a 9lb rise asks a stiffer question but he is progressive.
Comment
Second at this meeting last year; impressed at Goodwood latest; up 9lb but on the upgrade
Stable Tour
"He was second in the 3YO ‘Dash' at Epsom last year - he loves those Marmite tracks that a lot of other horses don't. Before he won at Goodwood last time we were quite keen to go for the Dash but we thought we'd better give him another run in case he doesn't get in at Epsom - he obviously will now, but with a much heftier weight (his rating went up 9lb to a mark of 97). But I think he is improving - he improved over the winter by being gelded and having a good break. He's consistent and has a good racing head on him and I wouldn't be surprised if he climbed a bit higher this year. He just looks an exciting animal this year - he has a high cruising speed and I think he has gears after that. He might be one worth following throughout the year - but if it isn't this year, it could well be next year that he reaches the dizzier heights of stakes company. He'd be my trainer's pick. 20-05-26"
Quotes
"Lexington Blitz is just a nice progressive horse. He really needed his run at York, where he was big and bulky and led for a long way on the wrong side, and that's definitely stripped him fit. He seemed to enjoy the ground today and he's loved the fast five. He might go to the Palace of Holyrood House at Royal Ascot, or something like that - Robert Cowell, trainer."

All four wins have come on the AW at Dundalk and she wasn't beaten far in a Group 3 there on her final run in 2025; fully effective on turf and ran a cracker at Navan three weeks ago, showing her trademark early speed before being picked off late on (front two pulled 6l clear); 8lb higher today but this track should play to her strengths; chance.
Comment
Speedy front-runner; fine second at Navan 3 weeks ago; 8lb higher but foolish to discount
Quotes
"Danny (Murphy) said there's no race for Eclairage here until next year in that bracket over 5f. She's genuine and could transfer to the turf next year but good ground is probably a necessity. Five furlongs is her trip and somewhere like Tipperary would be ideal - Declan McDonogh, jockey, speaking to Racing TV"

Trained by James Evans when winning this race in 2024 off a 5lb higher mark (good to soft); well beaten in it last year but he arrives in good form for his new stable, winning at Ripon in April and not enjoying the cleanest run when fourth at Goodwood 15 days ago; rain won't hurt his chance and he's of obvious interest.
Comment
Two good runs since joining Tony Carroll; won this race in 2024 off 5lb higher; big player
Quotes
"The change in yards has helped freshen Dream Composer up. The race went to plan and I was told to kick early on him and he kept on galloping. I thought maybe I would get caught but he kept going - Myla Coppins, jockey."
2026-04-25 - Ripon"We bought Dream Composer very inexpensively from France three years ago - he'd run as a 2yo there - and he's won for us every year. He keeps stepping up, and obviously this is the icing on the cake, winning one like this. He's won some good races at Grade One tracks; we just felt he was handicapped quite well today, and the cut in the ground helps him. He's pretty good at going up and down dale, because he's won at Goodwood and places like that. We were going along as we found it; he's got an entry in the Wokingham and if a penalty gets him into it and there's cut in the ground, he likes Ascot and has run well there, so that's a possible. But we'll enjoy today and see where it takes us - James Evans, trainer."
2024-06-01 - Epsom"I think the ground was a bit too lively at Royal Ascot. Dream Composer has been travelling much better in his races so the five seems to suit well now. There is the five-furlong handicap on the first day of Glorious Goodwood which is a 0-105 and that was a thought, and obviously the Stewards' Cup would come into consideration as well - James Evans, trainer."
2023-07-07 - Sandown"Dream Composer has great form here and likes this ground, so everything was in our favour. The race went to plan and he keeps galloping. He probably likes 6f more than five, but the ground helped him - you might as well use his stamina over five - Mollie Phillips, rider."

Front-runner; second in this race in 2024 off 3lb higher; ran away with a 5f handicap at Haydock (good ground) last September off this mark; unable to hit the same heights since but his AW third in February was a fair run; won't be inconvenienced should there be a marked deterioration in the going but a full revival is required; visor returns having been left off latest.
Comment
Second here in 2024 off 3lb higher; has not found very best in 2026; needs a full revival
Stable Tour
"He had a bit of an issue in the starting gates in Dubai but it was promptly solved by Shayne Ryan, the chief starter over there, who did a great job on him. He's come back since, and while he's had no problem with the stalls at all, he might just be going through a bit of a cool patch because of the travelling back and forth to Dubai and getting racing again. We ran him on ground that was a bit too soft for him up at Musselburgh in April, but I think once he gets back in the groove he'll be back winning. I think the key to him is fast ground. He was taken on for the lead and finished down the field at Windsor on Monday. He'll bounce back and be in the winner's enclosure shortly, but it's going to be on his terms rather than ours. 20-05-26"
Quotes
"I'm really pleased, Democracy Dilemma has been knocking on the door and he's a tough horse to pass once he's got his head in front. He really wants a flatter track but it was worth the risk and it's lovely to have a stakes winner for the Hays. He might go to Newbury for the Dubai International Airport World Trophy, he'll have a penalty in Listed races now so we have to go for Group races really. He'll have another race or two then probably go to Dubai for the winter - Robert Cowell, trainer."
2024-08-31 - Beverley"What a fantastic run. Democracy Dilemma has just kept on improving and he's done nothing wrong the whole year. These are exciting times for Fitri and Jim Hay, and there are plenty of good sprints on the agenda. We know that Chester suits, and York is a good flat track. He just needs a flat, sharp track. He's just genuine and honest and he's a yard favourite - Robert Cowell, trainer."
2024-06-01 - Epsom"Democracy Dilemma had some problems with the gates last time and Jake Launchbury and Craig Witheford have done a fantastic job of getting that sorted. Chester is a place where you can't miss a beat, so it's a job well done by Robert and the team. When you have that plum draw here you don't want to be giving it away. It was a big help and he's a pretty talented horse, and everything came together - Tom Marquand, rider."
2024-05-09 - Chester"I've always liked Democracy Dilemma but I thought he was saving a bit for himself as he's a little bit coltish and the visor helped him. He showed a good turn of foot there and I reckon he'll go to Royal Ascot over the five furlongs after that. There might be something before Ascot, but we'll probably have a day out there - David Evans, trainer."

In 2025 she took a big step forward from her seasonal return when sweeping through late to collar Lexington Blitz in the 3yo Dash on this card; also won at Wolverhampton in July (6f, AW) off 1lb higher than today; never a threat at York last month on return to action but it's not unreasonable to expect much better today and she is sure to get a strong pace to aim at.
Comment
Fast finish to peg back Lexington Blitz in 3yo Dash in 2025; can leave reappearance behind
Quotes
"At halfway I think we were last, or second-last; they must have run very quick because Stormy Impact is not slow, and she was struggling to lay up. I did think she could run well here. I was struggling to find a race for her -I had to run her over six at Newmarket and I think five is her trip. She's all speed. Won big-field 5f handicaps at York and Goodwood last July; two solid efforts in defeat this season and he won on his only visit to Epsom, albeit over 7f; not impossibly treated but he wouldn't want the ground to be any slower than good.
Comment
Two solid efforts this year and 1-1 at Epsom; suited by good/firmer
Stable Tour
"His owners would like to go for the Dash at Epsom on Derby day, but in the last couple of years he might not have got in off his current handicap mark, so maybe he'll have to win or run well before then to make the cut - that'll be the plan of action. I don't see why we don't go to Goodwood again with him in the summer. He's a straightforward sprinter. He's just the sort of horse we like here, being a good horse who just needed a change of scenery, a change of regime and a bit of tender loving care. 15-04-26"
Quotes
"It means the absolute world, especially on Brazen Bolt, he's a really nice horse. I won on him last time at York, came here today and I thought we had a really nice chance. When the rain started coming I got a little bit worried but he showed what he can do and he's won lovely - Warren Fentiman, jockey."
2025-07-29 - Goodwood"It was fairly easy, I just jumped out of the stalls and sat with him. Brazen Bolt was happy there and we didn't complicate it. He's an older horse and knows what he's doing - Gianluca Sanna, jockey, speaking to Racing TV."

Admirable campaigner who is gradually edging down the weights; type to pop up soon but perhaps in a slightly less competitive affair.
Comment
Handicapped to win soon but this race might prove a shade too competitive
Quotes
"Rhythm N Hooves has only got a burst for a furlong to a furlong and a half. My first couple of times riding him I struggled to work that out, but I've managed to get the hang of it now so I can conserve him until the last furlong. He's a good horse, he won at Ascot a few years ago and he's a star to ride - Billy Loughnane, jockey."
2025-08-16 - Newbury"Rhythm N Hooves was inexperienced coming into this, it was only his fifth race. He learnt a lot at York the last day, that was a big shock for him going from all-weather novices through to these 20, 25-runner handicaps. He has obviously shown a high level of ability here, so hopefully we can either go to more of these high-grade handicaps, but I wouldn't put it past going for a Listed race maybe with him at some point - Archie Watson, trainer."

Quotes
"Emperor Spirit has a very good record fresh. He came to us with a few issues and was freegoing at home. We put in a lot of work at home and bought him a special bridle to let him relax in his work, and I was pleased two furlongs in today that he was relaxing. Better on AW than turf but took advantage of a good opportunity at Yarmouth in April (5f, good); hit with an 8lb rise for that, bringing his turf and AW marks into line; blew the start back at Yarmouth last month but the stewards deemed him a non-runner due to having his head turned as the stalls opened; risky on the back of that and there are other pace influences to contend with today.
